The purpose of the Holliston Business Association is to serve and support all local Holliston businesses and to give back to the community. We do this through the HBA Scholarship Fund and through the Holliston Community Action Fund. The HBA’s goal is to provide all businesses the ability to give back and support the people of our town as well as support one another to maintain the strong businesses that make the town unique.
Cheryl teaches mixed media mosaic art to adults and children at her studio, Cheryl Cohen Mosaic Art Center at 360 Woodland Street in Holliston. The studio offers afterschool programs to children ages eight and up, and adult programs weekly on Tuesday morning, and Thursday evenings. She also offers monthly Ladies’ Nights Out and Weekend Workshops. Cheryl will help you plan special events including birthday parties, family reunions, work gatherings, etc. In addition to Cheryl’s classes, other local artists offer instruction in other forms of art.
Cheryl’s mosaic style combines everything that she loves including glass, tile, mirror, stone, shells, jewelry, and beads as well as shards of pottery and china. Over the years she has found great joy in continually evolving her art through experimentation and the insights gained by teaching others. She sells her work in her studio, at local craft shows and on a commission basis.
Cheryl has a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy and a master’s degree in education. As an occupational therapist she specialized in working with school age children with special needs for 25 years. Cheryl has taken classes with world renowned mosaic artists including Sonia King and Lynn Chinn.
Dancing Arts Center, located in Holliston, MA, provides world-class instruction for students of all ages. Their innovative Children’s Division nurtures and prepares young minds and bodies for success. DAC’s Main Division follows renown training curricula in classical ballet, modern dance, improvisation, jazz, and choreography. Drop-In classes are also offered in our Adult/Teen Division.
Dancing Arts Center proudly produces year-round professional performance opportunities including a full-length ‘The Nutcracker’ at The Norwood Theatre, an annual Student Dance Concert, the year-end Spring Dance Concert, and performances during our fantastic Summer Programs. Directors are the highly experienced dancers and teachers Gregg Saulnier and Patrick Notaro.
